GQ + Canada Tourism

When GQ calls you up to follow some cool people doing cool stuff at a world-class ski resort…you sharpen your snowboard edges first and ask questions later.

CHALLENGE:

Generate interest in tourism to Canada among a millennial audience using Whistler mountain and a targeted influencer as the centerpiece of a story for GQ’s audience.

SOLUTION:

We edited a pair of tailored documentary style pieces that followed influencer Sierra Prescott on a spur-of-the-moment journey taking her through some of Whistler’s better kept secrets. On extremely short notice, we rallied to secure logistics (foreign travel, shooting on the side of a snowy mountain at high speed, etc), map out the story, and execute the production.

Foreign travel, specialized drone and ski-slope cinematography, fifteen locations in two days, were just a handful of the challenges. By teaming up with the sales team early we were able to help GQ and CNT navigate those hurdles in a way that best served their final video product.
